Job Description
Department: General Warehouse
Location: 852 Warehouse
Reports To: Safety Coordinator
Basic Overview: The facilities maintenance, under limited supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the maintenance at the 852 KY warehouse; and performs related duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural and equipment repair or replacement.
Performs preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Installs electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services, wiring during remodeling projects; replaces and repairs wiring as needed
Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment (minor issues).
Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures when needed.
Troubleshoots and repairs equipment as needed.
May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts and purchases those supplies, equipment and materials necessary to complete projects.
Assembles and moves furniture, hangs pictures and bulletin boards (when needed)
Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls.
Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains (when janitor is not able to), replaces seals and other minor parts; maintains drinking fountains; repairs, replaces and maintains hot water heaters and other appliances.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Identify and troubleshoot PLC problems on conveyor belt.
When maintenance jobs not available, performs duties in the inventory department; operating equipment, performing cycle counts, looking for items.
Performing other duties and tasks not listed as requested by the operations manager or supervisors including tasks not related to maintenance.
Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair.
Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of building.
Knowledge of electrical schematics.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions.
Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
Skill in using hand and power tools.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Operations Manager, Supervisors and warehouse employees.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Must be able to push and pull up to 150lbs.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75lbs.
Must be able to constantly bend, reach and stand throughout shift.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
