is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist for one of our clients in Madisonville, KY.
Job Description:
The Payroll Specialist provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives.
In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions and apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Responsible for the weekly processing of payroll including making payroll adjustments / corrections to employee's time in the Payroll System, manual input of timecards for non-exempt employees, input of skill level adjustments for hourly employees and weekly upload of payroll data file to Corp Payroll Responsible for the entry into Oracle and Payroll systems of all information for new hires, the incidences of the personal assets (bonus, increases of pays, modifications of position, change of center of costs, vacations, etc.
) Assist employees with payroll questions / issues daily Assist with payroll related issues for disability and workers' compensation cases Assist with resolution of all payroll related issues for new hires and transfers Establish the bases for the Strategy of Compensation of the Business; determine the position of the company in the market according to policies, with the purpose of assuring an equitable and internally externally competitive remuneration Evaluate the requests of increases of pay by merit and/or promotion, being analyzed the characteristics of each case and the budget of pays of the area, watching the policies emitted with the intention of taking care of the fairness between the made work and the paid pay Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in a human resources or benefits position) At least 1 additional year of experience in compensation, benefits, or human resources At least 1 year of experience processing payroll for a large number of employees, both hourly and salaried, on weekly and bi-weekly basis, in a manufacturing environment Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance is preferred Knowledge of general HR policies and procedures is preferred Prior experience with payroll processing software such as ADP, Ceridian, or Peoplesoft is preferred Knowledge of Federal / State Wage and Hour laws and regulations Able to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times Strong attention to detail Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to multi-task and maintain positive attitude in a challenging environment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
